Overview

Located deep in the heart of remote Nepal, placed between the sweltering Indian subcontinents and frozen Plain of Tibet, Api Himal trek has enticed trekking lover by its diverse landmarks unlike other Himalayan range of Nepal. 

Being one of most famous treks in far western Nepal, Api Himal trek showcases its typical flavor to remote and cultural village. Api Himal (7132m) lies off the beaten path and has encountered very less flock of travelers till date. The trail complements you with the epic and picturesque view of surrounding hills and Himalaya ranges. The good news is that you also get chance to explore high pass, isolated village, varied cultures and lush forests where you get see the local herdsmen wandering with their cattle. People here practices both Hindu and Buddhist religion and follow their ritual handed down from generation to generation.

This astounding trek offers you the most stunning view of Mt. Nandadevi (7817m), Rajamba (6537m), Thulo Dhunga Tuppa (5368m) and other multiple peaks. Kalidhunga Lake, a short trek from base camp, adds up the beauty of this scheduled and rarely explored region. The exploration of nomadic people, Raute who still lives in caves, gives you the feeling of Stone Age. This trek is also ideal for those interested in wildlife exploration and bird watching.

Api Himal Trek itinerary:

Day 01: Open Arrival at Tribhuban international airport Kathmandu, we will meet you outside the airport terminal a few meters from the exit gate. Transfer to hotel welcome drinks and short briefing about the trip. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Tour and trek Preparation (1360m)

Day 3: Kathmandu to Gokuleshwor and trek to Karkale (950 M)

Day 4: Karkale to Chiureni (1100M)

Day 5: Chiureni to Makarighat (1,800m.)

Day 6: Makarighat to Seti (3000 M)

Day 7: Seti to Bayaligad (3400 M)

Day 8: Bayaligad to Simar (3600 M)

Day 9: Simar to Dhawaliwadar (3800 M)

Day 10: Dhawaliwadar to Api Base Camp (4000 M)

Day 11: Base Camp to Saheb Bazaar (2,800m.)

Day 12: Saheb Bazaar to Makarighat (1,800m.)

Day 13: Makarighat to Bitule chaur (1,200m.)

Day 14: Bitule to Gokuleshwor (8,50m.)

Day 15: Gokuleshwor to Kathmandu
