Balthali Village Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Kathmandu - Namo Buddha - Balthali Village
Breakfast at Hotel than driveto Dhulikhel and we start our hike to Namo Buddha which takes about 3 hours. You pass through small rhododendron forest, terraced fields, local village’s inhabitant by Newar, Magars and Rais, and then you will observe their lifestyle and finally reach at Namo Buddha Stupa. After visiting its area we will have lunch after lunch trek to Balthali village at the altitude of 2400m. Overnight in a Balthali Village Resort.
Day 2: Balthali Village Exploration
After breakfast we will visit a typical Tamang village, Dada Gaun, where a Buddhist Community lives. It is very traditional and secluded from the modern world. We then walk to Pada Gaun (2100m), from where one can have extremely good views of the whole Himalayan range to north and beautiful green forest of Mahabharat. It also offers great views of mountains and walk back to the Resort.
Day 3: Balthali Village to Panauti and Back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we take a short walk to the Newari village of Panauti which is wedged between the Punyamata and Roshi streams. Panauti forms the shape of a triangle with a serpent (naga) idol standing at each of its three corners to protect from floods. Pride of this place goes to the massive, three-tiered Indreshwor Mahadev. On the way back to Kathmandu you can have an opportunity to come across lovely temples and interesting old houses, particularly beautiful areas some fourteenth century wooden temple struts and from Panauti drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at Hotel.
