Located at the northeast of Annapurna, Gangapurna Expedition Peak (7,455m) soars to the end of Grand Barrier to Tilicho Peak on the shoulder at 10km from Annapurna directly east of Roc Noir. Gangapurna Peak expedition was first made by a team of German expedition led by Gunther Hauser, via the Eastern Ridge in 1965. It is the most accessible and elegant route yet technically challenging climbing line. Climbing Gangapurna Peak is considered as difficult and challenging with lots of snows, ridges and technical section. It is a perfect opportunity for adventure seeker to savor ultimate climbing experience at fascinating Mt. Gangapurna for life time achievement.

The standard access to Gangapurna peak is through BesiSahar crossing Marsyangdi valley that takes more than weeklong trek and allows excellent acclimatization. After summiting the peak, climbers can fly out from Humde- few hours of descend from the Base Camp or from Jomsom – 3 days great hiking experience crossing Thorong La Pass (5,416m).

Gangapurna Peak Climbing is straightforward but concerns some steep and challenging section with low objecting risk. Gangapurna summit features the best view of Annapurna massif, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak and end-less Tibetan Plateau to the north of the peak.

Itinerary

Day01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, TIA, Kathmandu and transfer to hotel by our airport representative

Day02-03: Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, Briefing at Tourism ministry, shopping and other formalities

Day04: Drive from Kathmandu to BesiSahar (823m/7 hours). Stay overnight at lodge.

Day05: Trek from BeshiSahar to Bahundanda (1305m/5 hours). Stay overnight at lodge.

Day06: Trek from Bahundanda to Chyamche (1430m/6 hours).

Day07: Trek from Chyamche (1410m) to Dharapani (1860m)

Day08: Trek from Dharapani to Chame (2670m/6 hours)

Day09: Trek from Chame to Pisang (3100m/5 hours)

Day10: Trek from Pisang to Manang (3440m/6 hours)

Day11: Rest and acclimatization day at Manang

Day12: Trek from Manang to Gangapurna Base Camp (4650m). Camp overnight.

Day13-30: Climbing period to summit Gangapurna and returning to base camp

Day31: Cleaning base camp and trek to Khangsara (3734m).

Day32: Trek from Khangsara to ThorongPhedi (4420m/6 hours)

Day33: Trek from ThorongPhedi to Muktinath (3850m/7 hours) via Thorong La (5416m) pass

Day34: Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom via Kagbeni (2895m/5 hours)

Day35: Early morning flight from Jomsom to Pokhara (25 minutes) and drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (7 hours) OR take a flight from Pokhara to Kathmandu (25 minutes)

Day36: Enjoy leisure day at Kathmandu and attend farewell dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural show

Day37: Transfer to airport for final departure
