Poonhill trekking is short hiking trail which starts from Pokhara valley. The Ghorepani Poon hill trek passes from Nayapul which is an entrance of Annapurna region trekking. Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking all the way passes along the Modi Khola from Kyumi leading up to Ghandruk, which is also connected from Nayapul. Ghandruk is a large beautiful village with fabulous views of the Annapurna south peak leading to Tadapani and then head west to Ghorepani. The panorama of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna peaks from the vantage Poon Hill view point is incredible. The Hill point mesmerizes with delightful view of sunrise and golden color views of Annapurna ranges.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhvuwan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu transfer to Hotel and trek preparation.
You will be picked up at Kathmandu Tribhvuwan International Airport and transfer to your hotel by our agent. After having some time to rest and freshen up in hotel from your long journey, you will be asked to make a visit in our office. This visit you will be helpful to briefly understand about our trekking program and meet with the guide. All the requirements for the trekking will be prepared and managed today.
Day 02: Flight or Drive to Pokhara
After having your breakfast, we will take you to the Domestic Airport to take a 35 minutes flight to Pokhara, enjoying the scenic mountain flight. Or if you wish you can take a Tourist bus to Pokhara about 6-7 hour drive exploring scenic beauty all the way around. In the evening in Pokhara you can have a boating trip on Phewa Lake; enjoy the spectacular views of Annapurna Himalaya Range and Machhapuchhare. Spend your night at hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Nayapul and trekking to Tikhedunga (1540m)
Morning accompanied with the breakfast and takes a drive for about 1 and half hour through large village Lumle to Nayapul. The trekking journey starts from here. The trail leads up passing through the beautiful rice, maze and millet farms. We will pass small beautiful waterfalls following main trail of Birethanti. Past waterfalls with plunge pools that invite you to swim. Then we reach Sudami village where we can have lunch. After lunch climb gradually side of valley to Hille and after half an hour working from Hille, you will reach at Tikhedhunga. Enjoy the local people, culture and greenery. Spend the overnight in guest house.
Day 04: Tikhedunga trekking to Ghorepani (2775m)
After the breakfast, trek to Ghorepani (2880m) for approx. 7 hr. Today the trail crosses Tikhedunga River on suspension bridge, then drops and crosses the Bhurungdi khola. Climbing steeply on a stone staircase, continue to the large Magar village Ulleri (2080m). We will have a little view of mountain. We will pass through pastures and cultivated fields. We will encounter cool oak and Rhododendron forest through the journey. We have a little rest with lunch at Nangathanti. From here working for about one hour we will reach Ghorepani village. Arrive at the top of the Ghorepani pass to set your camp.
Day 05: Ghorepani to Poon hill and trek to Tadapani (2540m).
Following day make the early-morning departure to the Poon Hill (3210m) which is one of the best Himalaya view point in Nepal. You will be amazed to have the spectacular panoramic views of Himalayas of the region. It provides best majestic scenery and sunrise over the high mountains. Have the breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri I (8167m), Tukuche (6920m), Nilgiri (6940m), Annapurna South, Annapurna I (8091m), Mt. Fishtail (Machhapuchhare, 6997m), Lamjung Himal (6986m) and many more.
Now return to the camp at Ghorepani and have your breakfast. Trek to Tadapani starts for rest of the day for 6 hours. You will have amazing views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna on the way. Descend steeply through dense moss-covered forest rich with bird life. Stay overnight at Tadapani.
Day 06: Tadapani trekking to Ghandruk (1940m)
After breakfast your journey leads to Ghandruk which takes about 4 hours. Trail descends steeply through rhododendron forests where you also encounter monkeys and wide varieties of birds. Take a downhill path continuing to Ghandruk, the largest Gurung village. Make a visit to Gurung ethnic museum to explore their culture and ancient tradition. Enjoy good Mountain View of Annapurna South and Fishtail and spend your night in a hotel.
Day 07: Ghandruk trekking to Birethanti and drive back to Pokhara
Today pass through small hamlets, terraced rice fields and subtropical forests. We will have an ease and pleasant walk along the Modi Khola to Birethanti. We continue our walk to Nayapul and catch a private vehicle for one and half hour to Pokhara. Spend a beautiful night in Pokhara city having some leisurely walk along the streets.
Day 08: Pokhara back to Kathmandu
As for your wish you can take a fight or take a drive to Kathmandu. Have some rest in hotel in Kathmandu. At evening you can take a short walk around visiting the places and exploring the local lifestyle of the people. Spend a relaxing night in hotel.
Day 09: Sightseeing in the world famous heritage sites in Kathmandu Valley
After your breakfast in hotel, you will leave for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit sacred Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, very ancient pilgrimage enlisted in UNESCO World Heritage sites. Also visit the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhnath. Kathmandu Durbar Square visit reflects you the fine arts and historical architecture of Nepalese culture. On return to your hotel you will have time to explore the local area and take a leisurely stroll through the popular streets. At evening you will be pleased to watch cultural program accompanied with local typical dinner.
Day 10: Final Departure to your onward destination
Transfer you to International aiport for final departure to your destination.
