Gokyo-Cho La Pass trek is one of the popular trekking route situated west of Khumbu Region which offers rich meadows, vista of the striking mountains, Ngozumpa Glaciers and pure turquoise lakes. Gokyo valley has a compilation of stone houses and walled meadows on the seashore of a great lake. Trekking to Cho La Pass via Gokyo Lake offers magnificent views of stunning Himalayan peaks and rich Tibetan culture in Sherpa villages.
Gokyo Cho-La Pass trekking begins with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla in about 45 minutes. Trekking starts from Lukla to Phakding heading to Namche Bazaar following the bank of Dudh Koshi River. The trail to Gokyo passes through patches of birch and rhododendron forest and small yak-grazing settlements. In Gokyo Valley we will visit the beautiful Gokyo Lake situated on the west area of the Ngozumpa Glacier and the Gokyo Peak (5480m) where we can view stunning summit mountain scenery including Everest, Makalu and Cho Oyo. The Gokyo Ri is the most rewarding part of the trip around witnessing different mountain panorama, local culture and plants and animals. After the Cho La pass, we reach Dzong La that offers the amazing views of Ama Dablam and Taweche. We setup a camp at Gorakshep climb to Kalapathar (5545m) for other stunning views of the encircling mountains as well as the black pebbly walls of Mt. Everest's south-west face. We return through Tengboche that consists of old but fascinating monastery which also offers incredible scenery of Everest, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Kwangde, Nuptse, Lhotse and many more trekking peaks of the Khumbu Himalaya range. Although the trekking is relatively difficult but it offers the excellent views of high Himalayas and panoramic view of glacier lakes in Gokyo valley.

Trekking Group Size
Trekking Group is termed for the group of people with every individuals who go for a trip. A minimum of 2 people and maximum number of 12 is highly recommended as the size of the group. This planning ensures complete safety of the trekkers and convenience as well. However, with conditions applied, the group size can be customized as per the request of our clients.
[Note: Crew members are not counted within the trekking group size. This exclusive group of crews include one leader, assistant leaders and porters. One assistant leader for every 4 trekkers and one porter for every 2 trekkers]
Meals and Accommodation
During your stay in Kathmandu city, at the initial and the final stages of the trip, you will be residing at a 4 star hotel. The meal facilities in our Cost Includessection takes account of only breakfast facilities at this particular hotel. During the trek, breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served including varieties of snacks, cold drinks, and hot chocolate especially during the mountain part.
As mentioned above, accommodation will be facilitated at a 4 star hotel in Kathmandu. Whereas, during the trek, you will be staying at standard teahouses, lodges and camps, on twin sharing basis, that is determined by the viability of accommodation facilities at overnight stops.
As a general idea, health condition in a good state is highly recommended for any kind of tour. As, Everest Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek is categorized under Strenuous Level, one should have the ability to walk for at least 5 – 6 hours a day, and 8 – 9 hours in some of the days. The highest altitude that we climb in this particular trek is 5,545m/18,192ft at Kalapatthar. Trekking in higher altitudes requires more physical effort. If you have any kind of medical condition, we urge you to receive a counsel from medical experts and formally inform us before applying for this trip.

The Best Season to go for Everest Gokyo Cho La Pass Trek is between autumn [September to November] and spring [March to May]. This particular timespan provides you an efficient trekking experience with provisions of remarkable views of the environment around.
This part is analytically the most important of all. It is a must to gain knowledge about equipment required for a well-planned trekking tour. These gears not only adds convenience to your trip but, also, is totally responsible for its completion. We have formulated a clean list of equipment required for trekking in Nepal.
We, personally, do not sell any kind of insurances to our clients. We are, however, concerned about your safety as much as you do. Therefore, we advise you to plan a travel insurance policy before going for any of our trips. Unfortunate events such as sickness, medical issues, injuries or any kinds of accidents are possible measures that can ruin your trip or can even add threats to your life.

You better be careful while you choose a company and select insurance plans that includes emergency air ambulance rescue service, medical expenses and compensation for trip cancellation, as we do not provide any kind of refunds. Permits and Fees
No special fees or permits is required for trekking in this region as trekkers do not need to climb any of the peaks. Only an entrance fee is charged to gain access to Everest National Park [US $ 33 per person]. For trekking to the east of the main Everest region, an additional permit is required to enter the Makalu – Barun National Park [US $ 28 per person]. These fees can be paid at the National Park desk in Thamel or directly at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu [Tel: 00977-1-4222453, 00977-1-4223590] or Pokhara [Tel: 00977-1-521167]
Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Our airport representative will explain briefly the program and preparation for trek.
Day 02: Katmandu by flight to Lukla and overnight at Phakding (2830m).4hrs
Day 03: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3480m). 6hrs
Day 04: Namche Bazaar acclimatization day.( During the day , you can hike to Thame for beautiful Himalayan views, wild animals and Tibetan Monastery or hike to Everest view hotel for superb views of Mt. Everest( 8848m) , Mt.Lhotse, (8516n) Mt. Nuptse, (7855m), Mt.Amadablam (6856m), Mt. Thamserku ( 6723m) , Mt. Kantega (6979m), Mt. Kusum Khangaru ( 6367m) , Mt.Kongde (6011m), Mt. Tawache peak ( 6367 m) , Mt. Cholaste (6335m) ,island peak (6179m), Khumbila (God of Khumbu) 5761m etc , overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 05: Namche trek to Dole (4000m) 6hrs
Day 06: Dole trek to Machhermo (4400m) 6hrs
Day 07: Machhermo trek to Gokyo Lake (4750m) 5hrs
Day 08: Gokyo lake early in the morning hike to Gokyo Ri/Gokyo peak (5545m) for superb Himalayan views including the Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Cho Oyu 8201m,Mt. Nuptse 7855m, Mt. Pumori 7161m, Mt. Amadablam 6856m, Mt. Thamserku 6723m, Mt. Kantega 6685m, Mt.Kusum Khagaru 6367m,Mt.Kongde 6011m,Mt.Twache peak 6367m, Mt. Day 09: Thangnak trek to Dzongla (4800m). 6hrs
Day 10: Dzongla trek to Lobuche (4910m) 6hrs
Day 11: Lobuche trek to Gorakshep (5180m), after lunch continue to Everest base camp (5500m) and overnight at Gorakshep.
Day 12: Gorakshep early in the morning hike to kala pattar (5545m) for superb Himalayan views including the Mt. Everest 8848m, Mt Lhotse 8516m, Mt. Nuptse 7855m, Mt. Pumori 7161m, Mt. Changaste 7550m, Mt.Lingterin 6679m, Mt. Amadablam 6856m, Mt. Thamserku 6723m, Mt. Kantega 6685m, Mt.Kusum Khagaru 6367m,Mt.Kongde 6011m,Mt. Khumbila 5761m(God of the Khumbu),Mt.Twache peak 6367m, Mt. Day 13: Dingboche trek to Tyangboche (3890m) 6hrs
Day 14: Tyangboche trek to Namche Bazaar 6hrs
Day 15: Namche Bazaar trek to Lukla 7hrs
Day 16: Fly back to Kathmandu – Shopping/ Leisure
We will have a return flight back to Kathmandu for an hour. After return in to the hotel you will have a leisure time to spend after your long trekking journey. Get all your journey recalls with the rest. At the evening you can be involved into the shopping. Or you can also take a wander over the streets of local areas.
Day 17: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseing in kathmandu valley such as Bhaktapur, Pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, Kathmandu durbar quare and Monkey temple (swyambhunath).
Day 18: Our representative will drop you to the International Airport (TIA) to assist you for your final departure to your destination or alternatively the next destination.
