Putha Hiunchuli Peak Expedition also known as Dhaulagiri VII was first summited by Jimmy Roberts, a legendry explorer during his 1954 climbing survey of Dhaulagiri massif. Putha Himchuli, The Dhaulagiri range is adorned with some of most gorgeous peaks and Putha Peak is one of them to the far-west of Dhaulagiri. This peak is the last 7,000 marking the end of snow-capped range.
Putha Hiunchuli Peak expedition is of course challenging bu technically not difficult. It is the great peak with snow-covered over 2 km long ridge. Located in extraordinarily beautiful backdrop to the west of Annapurna and South of Ganesh Himal, it soars in a chain of world’s most dominating peaks of individual splendor of Dhaulagiri Range.
Putha Hiunchuli expedition begins at Dunai, the trading hub of Dolpa. After making a weeklong trek, climbers reach in German Base Camp of the Peak located at an elevation of 4,525m. The landmark during the approach exhibits the unique world made of high-cliff and deep canyons.
Though the Putha Peak expedition is challenging, there are lots of possible route that may be discovered and explored. It is believed that the technicality of the climbing resembles to any an classic route of the French Alps, like Mont Blanc’ normal route- for instance. The southern slope of Putha Hiunchuli offers easy access to different peaks base camps but the summit route is challenging due to many steep slopes and ridges. The easy summit route to Puth Hiunchuli is via Dolpo side North slopes which crosses extremely remote and wild terrain and is also restricted area for trekking and climbing in Nepal.

Day01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and transfer to hotel by our airport representatives
Day02-03: Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, preparation for expedition and briefing in Ministry
Day04: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (914m/6 hours). You can choose to take a flight to Pokhara that takes 25 minutes
Day05: Drive from Pokhara to Beni (875m) and trek to Darbang (1120m/5 hours)
Day06: Trek from Darbang to Takum (1650m/6 hours)
Day07: Trek from Takum to Lamsang for five and half hours
Day08: Trek from Lamsang to Gurja for six hours
Day09: Trek from Gurja to Darsinge Kharka for seven hours
Day10: Trek from Darsinge to Budzunge Kharka for five hours
Day11: Trek from Budzunge to Putha Hiunchuli Base Camp (4800m) for five hours
Day12-29: Climbing period to the Putha Hiunchuli peak and return back to the base camp
Day30: Trek from Base Camp to Budzunge Kharka for four hours
Day31: Trek from Budzunge Kharka to Gurja Gaon for five hours
Day32: Trek from Gurja to Lurang village for five and half hours
Day33: Trek from Lurnag Village to Takum for four hours
Day34: Trek from Takum to Darbang for five hours
Day35: Drive from Darbang to Pokhara for 3 hours and transfer to hotel
Day36: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu from Pokhara
Day37: Enjoy free day at Kathmandu and attend farewell dinner at typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural show
Day38: Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for final departure
