Sundarijal Chisapani Nagarkot Trek is one of the easiest and best hiking trip within the Kathmandu valley. The hiking offers you to enjoy the natural vegetation and villages to the hills around Kathmandu.

Trekking to Sundarijal, Chisapani and Nagarkot follows these three amazing places famous for their specialty.  Sundarijal lies within the Shivapuri National Park and famous for natural watershed and supplies drinking water to the Kathmandu city. Chisapani literally known as cold water is also the natural resource nearby. And Nagarkot is the famous hill station for awesome sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayas. One night stay at the hotel in Nagarkot is a must if you want to experience this majestic sunrise/sunset view.

This hiking trip is only 05 days package tour especially designed for you in Nepal. However, you can extend some interesting holiday tour if you want to explore Nepal few more days.

Single Travelers

If you are traveling alone and request for solo trekking, you will be asked to pay the full single supplement noted on the trip itinerary. If you wish to share accommodations, we will assign you a roommate if one is available. If a roommate cannot be found, you will be asked to pay a reduced single fee which is half of the full single supplement. Please be advised that there are a limited number of single rooms available.


Everest Base Camp trek is rated as Strenuous. This trekking demands physical and mental preparation. Trekker should have good health and active.  The trekking trail is up and down, so many ascend and descend have to face during your trekking. However no technical climbing or other special abilities are required. We expect participants to be strong, experienced hikers in good physical condition. Gear and supplies will be carried by porters or yaks, leaving members free to carry only a daypack. Altitude sickness problem arise during trekking, so each participants must take care of their health and always communicate with trekking guide if any syndrome arise.


The spring and autumn are considered as best trekking season for Everest region. The temperature is relatively warm in day and the rhododendron forest is spectacular with colorful views. The vision is clear in the morning but the sky might be hazy. From the late September autumn season starts. The sky will be clear and weather is very good.

Meals and Accommodation

All Meals and accommodation during trekking will be provided by our company. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (three times meals) will be provided on local lodge/teahouse. For night accommodation best available teahouse will be provided on the place you plan to stay overnight. In Kathmandu, only breakfast will be provided with hotel accommodation. Dinner and Lunch be extra and you have to manage yourself.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is compulsory before you start your trekking. Make sure to have both medical and evacuation insurance.

Day 01: Kathmandu arrival day. Hotel transfer and rest.

Day 02: Early an hour drive to trek start point in Sundarijal. You need to enter the Shivapuri National Park to the north of the Kathmandu valley. It takes four to five hour for trekking from Sundarijal to Chisapani. You will be crossing the Tamang settlement in Mulkharka and ridge through the oak and rhododendron forest before Chisapani. Tea house overnight here.

Day 03: Trekking day from Chisapani to Nagarkot hill. It will take six to seven hours of easy hike. Crossing the dense forest through a small village at Chauki Bhanjyang, you need 3 hours to reach Nagarkot. This hill station is world famous for Himalayan views and sunrise and sunset is just wonderful heaven on earth. Hotel check in and rest and overnight here.

Day 04: One day Kathmandu sightseeing day. Drive to Bhaktapur and visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Then drive to Kathmandu and visit Kathmandu Durbar Square. Evening shopping at famous Thamel market. Hotel overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 05: Kathmandu departure day. You will be transferred to the airport. See you again in Nepal.
