You will be picked up at Kathmandu Tribhvuwan International Airport and transfer to your hotel by our agent. After having some time to rest and freshen up in hotel from your long journey, you will give you brief introduction about our trekking program and meet with the guide. All the requirements for the trekking will be prepared and managed today.
Take an early morning breakfast and drive to Dhunche on vehicle via Trisuli Bazaar. The journey will take 7-8 hours through picturesque landscapes, Himalayan sceneries and local villages. On the way we have magnificent views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Tibetan mountain range including Mt. Kerung. Have your lunch on the way and reach Dhunche for your night.
We start our trek after the breakfast following the Langtang River. We will pass through many small villages on the way and experience the scraps of everyday living in these lowland villages. While passing along the road at the bank of Trishuli River we will have glimpse of Ganesh Himal, terraces and green hills and reach Syabru Gaun (1460m). This trail gradually ascents up to Bamboo (1960m) passing through Landslide. You will have pleasure walking through mix forest of Bamboos, rhododendron and Alpine. At the end your trail is level path to the Lama Hotel for the overnight stay.
Today at the beginning, the trail climbs up towards a steep forest slope to the Langtang River. Then gradually ascends crossing landslides along the big forests of hemlocks, map lean rhododendron to Ghoda Tabla (2970m). The route opens up into a wide valley of yak pastures and scattered Tamang villages showcasing water-driven mills and prayer wheels. The path follows the delightful Langtang Khola, climbing steadily up to the spread-out Langtang Valley. Langtang village is the headquarters for Langtang National Park. This is one of the old villages along this trekking route and the view from here is more spectacular as we get closer to mountain.
Today is a short walk around for 3 hours. The trail continues through the Tibetan village, stone-built houses and climbs to a Chorten and passes a huge Mani wall along a gentle path of the hill. Crossing the Laja Khola on wooden cantilever bridge then climbs a moraine to a viewpoint where you can see Kyanjin Gompa and the dramatic icefall flowing from Langtang Lirung and the trail descends to Kyanjin Gompa. We have chance to test cheese and curd by Yak milk here. Overnight in lodge.
We visit the monastery and the cheese factory or may walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung. Also we can ascend to Kyanjing RI (4350m) and Tserko RI (5000m), which is highest point of this trek. This is a good place to explore local culture similar as Tibetan which has been dragging from centuries. Have a free time strolling and exploring the place's uniqueness. Descend to guesthouse for overnight.
Today is a long day trail. After early wake up, we have breakfast with observing surrounding genetic snowy capped mountains breathtaking view. All the way downhill to Lama Hotel, you will see fantastic views of towering mountain what you have missed on the way up. It is still enjoyable trail even retrace. Then from here we can walk along the rising and falling path leading to the village which provides us the opportunity to get a closer look at customs and culture of Tamang ethnic group. Cross the river and get to Syabru Bensi for overnight.
Wake up and have a breakfast early in the morning. We will drive back to Kathmandu through crumble and bumpy road through Dhunche following the same highway as before to Kathmandu It takes about 7 to 8 hours (conditional) to reach your hotel in Kathmandu by bus/ private car.
