Trip Overview

Saribung Peak (6328m) is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. It lies in the Damodar Himalayan range and offers a stunning 360 degree view of some of the world's highest mountains.

The Saribung Peak Expedition takes you to the remote and little-visited region of Mustang in Nepal. The expedition offers you the opportunity to explore one of the most rugged and beautiful landscapes on earth.

You will be rewarded with stunning views of some of the world’s highest mountains, including Dhaulagiri (8167m) and Annapurna (8091m). The Saribung Peak Expedition is a challenging climb, but it is also an incredibly rewarding experience.

The sense of achievement you will feel upon reaching the summit is unlike anything else. If you are looking for an adventure that will push you to your limits, then this is the expedition for you.

Every Season for Saribung Peak Expedition

Spring (March - May): The best time to conquer Saribung is between March and May as the weather during this period is quite stable. Temperatures can range from 20 degrees Celsius during the day to 5 degrees Celsius at night.

Summer (June - August): Although it's possible to do the expedition during summer, conditions are less favorable as there can be heavy rainfalls and strong winds. Temperatures can also be quite high, ranging from 30 degrees Celsius during the day to 15 degrees Celsius at night.

Autumn (September - November): Autumn is considered by many as the ideal time for an expedition to Saribung Peak as the weather is once again stable and conditions are generally good. Temperatures during this period usually range from 20 degrees Celsius during the day to 5 degrees Celsius at night.

Winter (December - February): Although it's technically possible to do the expedition during winter, conditions are far from ideal as temperatures can drop below freezing point and there can be a lot of snowfall. It is therefore not recommended to attempt the expedition during this period.

Foods and Accommodations during Saribung Peak Expedition

As you might know, Nepal is famous for its food. You will find a wide variety of food options in the country, ranging from local to international cuisine. When it comes to accommodation, there are many options available as well.

However, during your Saribung Peak expedition, you will need to be selective about the food and accommodations that you choose. Here are some things to keep in mind:

When planning to undertake an expedition to Saribung Peak, it is important to be aware of the various permits and documents that will need to be obtained in order to ensure a smooth and successful trip.

The first step is to obtain a permit from the Department of Tourism in Kathmandu. This permit will allow you to enter the Saribung Peak area and will need to be obtained well in advance of your planned trip.

Once you have your permit, you will also need to obtain a climbing permit from the Nepal Mountaineering Association. This permit is required for all ascents of peaks over 6000 meters in Nepal and needs to be obtained prior to your arrival in the country.

You will also need to have a valid passport and visa in order to enter Nepal. If you are coming from another country, you may also need to obtain a trekking permit, which can be obtained from the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu.
