Dashain is the biggest festival and national festival. This is the festival of victory and all around Nepal is celebrated. In Dashain festival people gather in their native place, return from overseas and county part to celebrate. The main attraction of Dashain is putting Tika and Jamara and receive blessing from the elders.

Dashain the longest festival falls in 21 October to – 30 Sept in this year 2017. The main celebration is held on 22 Sept – 24 October. Vijaya Dashaimi the main day of Dahain is on 24 of October, this day is called as Tika day. This day symbolizes the victory of the good over the evil.

During the dashain festival, all the government and private offices remain closed for 5 days. Durga Bhawani, the goddess of power is worship in this festival. This is the festival of Hindus, even though all religious communities celebrate this festival and it is the festival of peace, prosperous and harmony.

Day 3 : 23 Oct: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhading Gajuri village, home-stay at village.

29 Sept: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhading Gajuri village, home-stay at village. Today celebrate the "Asthami" with locals

Day 4 : 24 Oct : Celebrate Bijaya Dashami and put Tika on forehead and receive blessings from the elders.

30 Sept : Celebrate Bijaya Dashami and put Tika on forehead and receive blessings from the elders. Enjoy full day with local people, play ping (swing) and sightseeing around the village. Stay at home
