The Mardi Himal and Khopra Danda trek is a relatively new route in the Annapurna region, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural diversity. Starting from Kande, the trail ascends through dense forests and alpine meadows, reaching the base of Mardi Himal and the stunning viewpoint of Khopra Danda.
The trek is graded as moderate, suitable for trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness. While the trails are well-defined, some sections involve steep ascents and descents, requiring a good level of endurance.
The best time to embark on the Mardi Himal and Khopra Danda trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. During these months, the weather is stable, offering clear skies and optimal trekking conditions.
Trekkers will need to obtain the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card before starting the trek. Our team will assist you in obtaining these permits hassle-free.
Throughout the trek, you will be accommodated in teahouses and lodges along the route. These establishments offer basic yet comfortable facilities, along with delicious meals prepared using locally sourced ingredients.

Arrival in Kathmandu Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. You'll have the rest of the day to rest and explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu at your leisure.
we'll embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the city of lakes. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan landscapes and rural countryside along the way. Upon reaching Pokhara, you'll check into your hotel and have the evening free to relax and enjoy the lakeside ambiance.
Trek to Forest Camp Today, we'll start early with a drive to Kande, the starting point of our trek. From Kande, we'll begin our trek through lush forests and picturesque villages, ascending gradually to Forest Camp (2,600m/8,531ft). The trek takes around 6-7 hours, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.
Leaving Forest Camp behind, we'll continue our ascent towards High Camp (3,600m/11,810ft). The trail winds through rhododendron forests and alpine meadows, offering breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks. Upon reaching High Camp, we'll settle in for the night and prepare for the next day's adventure.
Today's trek will take us to the majestic Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m/14,760ft), offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. After soaking in the breathtaking scenery, we'll descend to Low Camp (3,050m/10,006ft) for overnight stay, traversing through diverse landscapes along the way.
Descending further, we'll trek to the picturesque village of Ghandruk (1,565m/5134ft), known for its traditional Gurung culture and stunning mountain views. The trail passes through terraced fields, charming villages, and lush forests, providing ample opportunities to immerse ourselves in the local way of life.
Continuing our journey, we'll trek to Dobato (3,350m/10,990ft), where we'll spend the night amidst the tranquility of the Himalayas. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and landscapes, making for a memorable trekking experience.
Today's trek will take us to Khopra Danda (3,660m/12,006ft), a beautiful viewpoint offering panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Along the way, we'll pass through charming villages and pristine forests, immersing ourselves in the natural beauty of the Himalayas.
Trek to Khayer Lake After a challenging trek, today is reserved for rest and relaxation at Khopra Danda. Alternatively, you can opt for an adventurous hike to Khayer Lake (4,500m/14,762ft), surrounded by pristine alpine landscapes and glaciers.
Descending from Khopra Danda, we'll trek to Swanta Village (2,214m/7,263ft), where we'll have the opportunity to interact with the local communities and learn about their traditional way of life. The trek offers stunning views of the surrounding valleys and landscapes.
Trek to Ghorepani Continuing our descent, we'll trek to Ghorepani (2,874m/9,429ft), a charming village renowned for its stunning sunrise views over the Annapurna range from Poon Hill. The trail passes through rhododendron forests and picturesque villages, offering ample opportunities for exploration and photography.
Trek to Hile, Drive to Pokhara Early in the morning, we'll hike to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise panorama over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we'll trek to Hile and then drive back to Pokhara, where you can relax and unwind after the trek.
Today, we'll bid farewell to Pokhara and embark on a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The journey takes approximately 6-7 hours, offering one last chance to admire the stunning landscapes of rural Nepal before reaching Kathmandu.
After breakfast, you'll have some free time to explore Kathmandu or do some last-minute souvenir shopping before our representative transfers you to the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your unforgettable adventure in the Himalayas with Life Dream Adventure.
