Sikkim is the popular but least explored trekking destination situated near Nepal. Sikkim used to be the separate kingdom but now it is a state of India. Sikkim is bordered with Nepal in the west, Tibet to the north and east and Bhutan in the south-east. Though it is surrounded by different Nation, Sikkim has been capable of preserving its unique identity. Next town we visit is the beautiful city of Darjeeling also known as the "Queen of the Hills".
The key feature of Darjeeling tour is to visit the beautiful garden surrounded by tea. Tea of Darjeeling is famous whole over the world. We also visit the Mount Kanchenjunga which lies at the elevation of the 8,586 meter looming over the northern horizon, surrounded by Sikkim in the north, Nepal in the west and Bhutan in the east. Darjeeling additionally offers the pleasant ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, recognized as a World Heritage Railway by the UNESCO.
Sikkim, Darjeeling and Kalimpong are the three popular Himalaya regions situated in north east of India. Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim takes about 4 hours to reach from Darjeeling. The drive from Darjeeling to Sikkim passes through the beautiful scenery of hills through mountain road.
Sikkim is regarded as the religious place for Buddhist as it consists of various monasteries and Buddhist pilgrimage sites. The region is covered with lush green forests which shows the attributes of tundra vegetation.
