Day 1 : Drive from Pokhara to Sudame-Hile-Ulleri & Trek to Ghorepani (2,840m)

We start early from Pokhara, driving for about 3-4 hours to Tikhedhunga, bypassing the off-road trail that others use as the first section of the trek. From Tikhedhunga, we trek uphill to Ghorepani, passing through scenic landscapes and traditional villages. The hike takes about 6-7 hours, offering picturesque views and cultural encounters along the way. We spend the night in a tea house in Ghorepani.

After breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara, we catch a jeep to Tikhedhunga, our trek's starting point. The drive, lasting around 3-4 hours, takes us through Sudame and Hile, offering glimpses of beautiful settlements, majestic hillocks, and streams. Although most trekkers start their journey from Nayapul, we choose Tikhedhunga to save time.

Once we arrive at Ulleri, we enjoy lunch and begin our ascent to Ghorepani. The trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani spans approximately 6-7 hours, passing through meadows, rhododendron and oak forests, and pasture lands. After about 2 hours, we reach Banthanti, a small Gurung village with several tea houses. From Banthanti, we head north to Nangthanti, crossing streams and hills, before a final 2-hour steep climb to Ghorepani. Here, we rest in a well-maintained tea house, surrounded by stunning views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Machhapuchhre.

Day 2 : Hike to Poon Hill (3,210m), Trek Back to Tikhedhunga, & Drive to Pokhara

We rise early to hike up to Poon Hill for the stunning sunrise views over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. After soaking in the majestic scenery, we descend back to Ghorepani for breakfast. We then trek down to Tikhedhunga, taking in the beautiful vistas along the way, before driving back to Pokhara.

On the final day, we start early, aiming to reach Poon Hill before dawn. The hike to Poon Hill takes about 45 minutes, and the sunrise over the Himalayas is a sight to behold. The sky turns a beautiful orange as the sun's rays illuminate the snow-capped peaks, creating a mesmerizing view. After spending about 45 minutes at the top, we descend to Ghorepani for breakfast.

From Ghorepani, we trek back to Tikhedhunga, which takes about 4-5 hours. The descent is easier, allowing us to enjoy the stunning views of the Annapurna region. After reaching Tikhedhunga, we have lunch and catch a jeep back to Pokhara, concluding our memorable 2-day trek.
