Trip Overview

Himlung Himal Expedition is one of the most popular climbing peak over 7000m situated in the western Nepal. Himlung Expedition is recently opened for foreigners but it is getting more and more popular each day. Himlung Climbing is perfect for someone with basic mountaineering experience who is eager to try a high altitude mountain expedition. As the trail is opened just few years back, it offers the untouched and unspoiled beauty of nature.

Himlung Himal Expedition route goes through the remote villages of Nepal-Tibet boarder offering us the best opportunity to learn and observe the mysterious cultures of the Tibetan peoples and their spiritual connection with the high Himalayas. The trail also offers us the panoramic views of giant snow capped peaks including Nandadevi, Api Himal, Rajramba, Kappa Chuli and many others.. Himlung Expedition route passes through high passes, remote villages, beautiful forests, glaciers, springs, Gompas, narrow gullies and unique cultural settlements.

Before 1992, Himlung Himal Expedition area was under restricted region, and was climbed first by Japanese Team in 1992. Then after only few ascents have been done which makes the trail to Himlung Himal unspoiled and one can observe virgin nature. As the roads constructions are disturbing natural trails in the Annapurna and Everest Region, Himlung Himal Expedition Route still gives you opportunity to observe undisturbed natural beauties.

We will establish Base Camp at an altitude of 4850m on a grassy land. Our strong and experienced Sherpa guides will set up camps: Camp 1, Camp 2 and Camp 3 at altitudes of 5450m, 6150m, and 6375m respectively.  We will complete the summit in 4 steps. The last part of the summit includes icy and steep climb. After the summit we will descend back to Camp 3 and finally to Base Camp.

For successful Himlung Expedition, you should be physically and mentally fit. A person with previous experience of non technical/technical peak climbing and trekking in high altitudes will complete this trip more easily and happily.
