The best season to trek to EBC and Kalapatthar are late February to early May during the pre- monsoon and late September to early December during the post-monsoon. You may also hike in June or August, as well. The coldest months are November and December, and June through August are the wettest. So, during these off-seasons, you must make certain compromises.
The food on an Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar trek will be basic but nutritious, as it needs to be light enough to carry but filling enough to sustain you during long days of trekking. Some typical items of food include rice, pasta, noodles, biscuits, dried fruit and nuts, and tinned meat.
There are a few different alternatives available in terms of lodging. We provide you the best lodge.

Yes, keeping yourself hydrated is the number one rule that everyone should follow in every trekking. So, make sure that you bring water bottle and water purifier if possible.
In the spring, the Everest Base Camp trip may get rather congested. On the paths, you will see alot of people because there will be large groups of trekkers, porters, yak herders, and mountaineers. There will still be occasions, though, when you stroll for hours without running across someone.
A sleeping bag certified for cold weather, a tent, and climbing gear like an ice axe and crampons are some important pieces of gear for an Everest Base Camp and Kalapatthar trek. Again, this may vary based on your specific needs and the route you are taking.
An Everest trek always carries some danger, just like any other outdoor excursion. High altitude illness, avalanches, cold weather injuries, and falls are a few of the potential concerns. However, you may lessen the dangers by doing the necessary planning and training, as well as paying attention to your guides and Sherpas while on the mountain.
The ideal technique to get ready for an Everest adventure will depend on your own fitness levels and experience levels, thus there is no universally applicable solution. However, there are some suggestions on how to be ready for an Everest adventure, such as
doing regular strength- and aerobic-training activities and sharpening your climbing abilities by practicing on lower peaks beforehand.

Recommended to Us, Recommending to You
Life Dream was recommended to us by a colleague of my wife, and we were quite pleased. We knew we wanted to do the Annapurna Sanctuary trek, but none of itineraries we saw online for any company appealed. Hari (the owner and a former guide) was able to build a custom itinerary within hours of my emailing him, and he was more than obliging of our endless tweaks and questions.
Our guide for the trek was Sabin ("sab-een"), and Sabin was fantastic - trustworthy, endlessly patient, and always providing options to allow for a better trek. Sabin works for a couple of nonprofits during the offseason, and was always friendly and interesting to talk to. We definitely recommend Sabin.
When we were back in Kathmandu, we hired Hari again to set us up for short-notice day tour. Hari has access to the only sane/safe private driver in all of Nepal, so be sure to ask for him.

Great Everest trek
Despite our thorough planning and preparation for our EBC Trek, there were still many details and subtleties that eluded us. This is why we feel incredibly fortunate to have selected Life Dream Adventure as our tour guide. Sabin, the company's leader, supplied us with all the necessary information prior to our arrival in Nepal, and once there, he expertly managed every aspect of our trip, from hotel accommodations to COVID tests and special requests. Sabin was always accessible and genuinely concerned for our well-being.
During the trek, we received exceptional care from Kumar, and Shiva who demonstrated thoughtfulness and a deep commitment to our safety and comfort. Thanks to the unwavering support we received, our senior group successfully reached base camp without incident. We owe our success to Life Dream Adventure and are incredibly grateful for their dedication and hard work. Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking an exceptional trekking experience.
