Trip Overview

Amadablam Expedition is a popular climbing adventure over Mt Ama Dablam (6,812m) in Everest. The Amadablam Expedition (6,812 m) in Nepal offers mountain climbing opportunities on the world's most beautiful peak. The Ama-Dablam Expedition is an ideal blend of mountaineering and trekking. It provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the unique traditions and cultures of the Himalayan Sherpas.

On the southwest face of Mount Ama Dablam hangs a glacier that resembles the sacred ornament box worn by the Sherpa women, called "Dablam" in the local Sherpa community. That is why the mountain was named "Ama Dablam." Sitting alongside Mt. Everest in the Khumbu Region, it offers an exciting mountain climb up through a stunning ridge. Ama Dablam (6,812 m), located in the heart of the Khumbu Valley, offers a spectacular close-up view of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Everest. The sunrise and sunset over the great Himalayas are really awesome on Ama Dablam Expedition.

Mount Amadablam Climbing Route

The Ama Dablam Peak Expedition begins with an exciting hour-long mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla Airport. The trekking route will take you through Sherpa villages and up to the Khumbu valley to reach Ama Dablam Base Camp. The route of the Ama Dablam Expedition goes through the beautiful forests of oak, pine, and rhododendrons. During the spring season, the trail is blanketed with red rhododendrons. We can see many giant mountains standing near us. No Ice-fall and glacier to negotiate during the Ama Dablam mountain climbing with the most concentration on the crest of the ridge on the way.

Generally, three camps are set for the Ama Dablam Expedition, of which the climb from Base Camp to Camp 1 is the most difficult. The Ama Dablam Expedition follows the standard South-West Ridge route.
